Overview

Tryonixs AR ("we", "our", "the app") is a Shopify application that enables merchants to offer real-time virtual try-on for eyewear and accessories on their online store. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data we collect

Merchant / shop data (via Shopify OAuth)

  • Shop domain and store identifier
  • OAuth access tokens (stored securely in our database)
  • Staff user information provided by Shopify during install (name, email, user ID)

Storefront / customer data

The try-on experience runs in the customer's browser. Camera video is processed locally and via the Tryonixs SDK service to overlay product images. We do not store customer photos or video in the Shopify app database.

Analytics (via Tryonixs SDK)

When a shopper uses try-on, the Tryonixs SDK may send anonymized usage events (e.g. try-on opened, browser type, device type, product ID, shop domain) to Tryonixs infrastructure for service operation and analytics.

Camera and microphone

Virtual try-on requires camera access in the shopper's browser. Video is used only for real-time overlay and is not saved by this Shopify app. Shoppers must grant permission before the camera activates.

How we use data

  • Authenticate merchants and maintain app sessions
  • Deliver the virtual try-on feature on merchant storefronts
  • Improve product performance and reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data retention and deletion

Merchant session data is deleted when the app is uninstalled or when Shopify sends a shop/redact compliance webhook. We respond to Shopify GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) as required.

Third-party services

  • Shopify — app platform, OAuth, storefront
  • Tryonixs SDK — virtual try-on processing (tryonixs.com)
  • Hosting & database — Vercel, Neon PostgreSQL (session storage only)

Your rights

Merchants and customers may request access to or deletion of personal data by contacting us. Shopify merchants can also uninstall the app to trigger automatic session deletion.
